Make A Wish

I've been a volunteer and wish granter for Make A Wish for a few years now so of course it had to be the first one that I tout!

It's a great organization to get involved with locally. Kiley is a super leader of the Lincoln group and bring a lot of energy to the organization. I'm excited to be a part of the Lincoln group. You can help at local fund-raising events or become a wishgranter where you help a child get the wish that they have always dreamed about. What can be more rewarding!

About Powerful Bite

For those of you who don't know I'm a big fan of Black Bears. They have always intrigued me and they have a powerful bite!

But as volunteers we can also have a powerful bite in spending time doing things in our community. I've always wanted to start a group of some sort to give back and thought this would be a great way to do it.

I will add each person under the list of Bears and then I will want to you submit a list of volunteer hours you want to achieve in the next year. I will also email you a way to post a blog to the site to share your experience with others as well as add photographs from your event.

I want it to be very interactive as well. If you know of an event that is going on post it to the board and encourage people to help out. I will be adding new items, hopefully each week. You can also submit things to me and I will post them.

I will keep a running total to see the impact that we have made.

So go take a powerful bite!
