People are invited to help stuff the bus this weekend with donations for Friendship Home, Lincoln’s domestic abuse shelter.

Hosted by StarTran, buses will be parked in front of Lincoln’s three Wal-Mart stores (27th and Superior streets, 87th Street and Nebraska 2, and 84th and Adams streets) from noon to 5 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Needed items include diapers, towels, sheets, pillows, kitchenware, pots and pans, toiletries, laundry and cleaning supplies, batteries, ethnic hair care products, laundry baskets, lamps, vacuum cleaners and other small appliances. Cash donations also will be accepted.

A raffle also will be held; tickets are $1 each.
